I installed the mod (btw awesome) but do I need to use LAN to play with friends?

Yes, you can play through LAN with your friends. If you mean to ask whether the mod is supported through some kind of online play, I must say it isn't. But hamachi can easily solve this kind of problem.

Please can you explain how you start to increase the number of settlers you have and give a pointer to any How to Play docs there are. I am a long time player and have migrated from NER 2.7 but cant work this out.

Settlers (called peasants in the mod) are the same as in the vanilla game. They are limited to 60. I think this is the same in the vanilla game too.
A work in progress located at this url: https://github.com/aoenw/Hundred-Days/wiki can provide you with some information.

Hello guys! Yesterday I downloaded your mod and tried a few games. It looks good especially for a Beta version. The first problem I encountered is that France can't get any deck so I can't train anything but Line Infantry. Does it happen to anyone else? I tried also Austria and Britain and they don't have that problem.
Congratulations for your good job!

Hello Firestorm89. There is a similar issue opened on the github repository here: https://github.com/aoenw/Hundred-Days/issues/34
Could you join the conversation so we can work it out please?

What version of AOE3TAD is this intended to be used with? Because I'm receiving the notorious "ailoaderstandard.xs compilation" error, which isn't present in vanilla AOE3 or either of the official expansions.
From what i can tell this is often due to a mismatch between the developers version and the users.

Is this error occurring on every random maps Irrissann or only specific ones? I remember that some maps could bug thusly sometimes? I play on TAD 1.03.

I worked it out, it was due to my registry files in TWC causing issues. Not sure why, but i fixed it
