I have modified proto.xml.xmb, protox.xml.xmb, protoy.xml.xmb and zipped em up. Just extract and move them into your AOE 3 data folder. Backup your existing proto's first!

DaciaJC Brilliant! Works like a charm, awesome job.

With the decay value of 900, the bodies have almost completely disappeared by about minute 30. I'll test it out with a value of, say, 9001 (:D) and see how it works out.

EDIT: Yes, increasing the value works. The easiest way to do this is to open proto[x,y].xml using Wordpad, then use Ctrl+H to search for all instances of 900.0000 and replace with 9000.0000 (or your preferred value).

Great work. The bodies don't seem to stay literally "forever," but I'm sure further minor modifications can lengthen the time before they disappear.

Almost perfect!
But how to change the delay time of the bodies?
I looked in Proto files(all 3...) but i can't find any value with "900.0000"... A little help?
Good mod!

DaciaJC @Alby94play

Look for

You can change the value there to what you please. I have it set to 9000.0000, bodies remain on-screen longer than any of skirmish matches last.

If you want to quickly change all the values, use Ctrl+H, set "Find what" to 900.0000 and "Replace with" to whatever value you want.

Edfesom in my game when a settler dies he never stops being idle
sergiusenpai Nice job with this mod.
Could you please instruct me how to edit the proto file to edit the decay time ? Can't seem to find in file, i dunno what to search for.
I am asking because I have installed the extreme fortification mod 3.0 and if i install this mod it overwrites the proto files...
Basically I would like to have the protos from Extreme fortification BUT with longer decay time (sort of two mods simultaneously).
What to search in proto file and what to replace?
I have vanilla+twc+tad installed.
Great job with the mod.
Please advise,
Tanks
HamidGamer Thanks Man! Great Work! also you can do this trick by adding this code to your favorite unit(s) subset:

http://s9.picofile.com/file/8317488250/Dead_Body_Stay.png

Add This In Flag Section.

Numbers are in seconds.first numbers are for corpse decay.and second numbers are for corpse fade out duration. ADD ANY FAVORITE NUMBERS YOU WANT BUT SAME IN BOTH SECTIONS!!

By the way if you have my same problem that your game will freeze after the first cutscenes, change compatibility of shortcut to "WINDOWS 8 & Run this program as administrator"

HamidGamer Open Proto(x,y) files located in data folder in game directory with notepad and edit/add code.
Have Fun!
